Marie-Mai and David Laflèche announced their separation on social networks.

The musicians had been a couple since 2016, but had been house-breaking apart for some time. They have a five-year-old daughter named Gisèle.
“For a while, we have ended our romantic relationship and see the future as alliers (sic) for each other,” wrote Marie-Mai and David Laflèche in a joint statement.
They say they are serene about their decision and they intend to make a success of their separation.
