“Marie-Line and her judge”, with Louane and Michel Blanc, will be released on Wednesday October 11 in the cinema. The story of a friendship that develops between a young waitress full of energy, who gets by as best she can, with little money and a depressed father, with an austere and grumpy judge.
Some encounters change a life. Her name is Marie-Line, and she is a waitress from Le Havre (Seine-Maritime), recently licensed, energetic and talkative. He is an austere and grumpy little judge, severely marked by mourning. Two characters with bumpy paths, who should never have crossed paths. They are going to go off the road, into a predetermined destiny.
Little people in the spotlight
In this film, the real heroes are the little people. A permanent fight for the director, in a social context which too often prevents one from realizing one’s dreams. “For example, in the world of cinema I always felt out of place, a little out of place. It’s something that remains. I told this story also in memory perhaps of my father, who had this idea, when I said that I wanted to make cinema, that it was not for us”confides Jean-Pierre Améris.
The judge proposes emancipation through culture, she, for her part, will relearn how to live. Tailor-made roles for Michel Blanc and Louane, themselves from modest backgrounds.
