They’ve been dancing life together for so long that you can’t imagine them apart. And that’s good, Marie-Claude Pietragalla and her companion Julien Derouault have no intention of taking different paths. Currently, the choreographer is dazzling the audience at the Théâtre de la Madeleine in Pietragalla: The dancing woman, a show she staged with her dear and tender. And for good reason, as you probably know, Monsieur evolves in the same professional circle. She is also to be found this evening in Mongeville on C8.
We may not have seen it on the park of the show Dance with the stars, but Julien Derouault is nonetheless an exceptional artist. He had even received the blessing of Roland Petit, in 1996, when he was auditioning to enter the National School of Dance. This passion that burns him daily will have allowed him to build a career, but also to find love. Three years after joining this prestigious establishment, he met Marie-Claude Pietragalla and never left her again. Crazy in love, they even had a daughter, Lola, born in 2004, named in honor of the first baller ridden by the lovebirds.
We’re a couple who look alike, who can’t work without each other
The age difference has never been an obstacle for the two dancers. Marie-Claude Pietragalla, known as “Pietra“, is 59 years old today when Julien Derouault is 43 years old. “Julien calmed me down. As he has a fiery temper, we can only calm down in contact with him, she explained to the magazine Gala in 2014. Julien can be very reassuring, mad with energy and a poet at the same time, so many qualities that soothe me, push me to question myself about life and creation. We know each other so well that it’s hard for me to talk about it anymore…“.”We are each a part of the other, but we keep our personality, she added to Female version. We are a couple who look alike, who cannot work without each other. There is this dual perspective on creation, both feminine and masculine, funny or dramatic… We are very fusional.“
