Marianne Fund, Playboy, political future… her response to countless controversies!

It is an interview that was certainly one of the most anticipated of the week. This Thursday, April 27, 2023, Marlène Schiappa came out of her silence to exchange with Mohamed Bouhafsi, emblematic columnist of “C à vous”. For several weeks, the politician has been under fire from critics. After dividing the political class for having posed in the charming Playboy magazine, Marlène Schiappa was at the heart of a completely different scandal following the revelations of “Marianne”, “France 2” and “Médiapart” on the use of the Marianne Fund.

Created after the murder of Samuel Paty in 2020, the latter has enabled seventeen structures to fight against online radicalization. But its use still raises questions. At the time, Marlène Schiappa was minister in charge of citizenship. “Not only did I not favor any association, but moreover, […] I was also accused, I quote, of ‘cronyism'”replied the happy mother of two children.

And to emphasize:I have no friend, no pal, no relative among the winners of the Marianne fund. They even said it […]”. Out of the question for her to let the rumors spread further: “My lawyer attacks in defamation all the people who charge me with an offense of favoritism […] we have all the elements which demonstrate that it is false and that it is defamatory”.

“Some of these associations which pose problems which have denigrated certain political figures, I am thinking of Anne Hidalgo, Sandrine Rousseau, I imagine that you are shocked, you who denounce cyberbullying […]”, underlined Mohamed Bouhafsi. To which his interlocutor replied tit for tat: “Do you know which other political figures are criticized in these videos? The names are Olivier Vérand, Emmanuel Macron and Marlène Schiappa. I’m still not at the stage where I’m going to pay associations so that they smash me and smash the President of the Republic in their videos”.

In addition to this hot topic, Marlène Schiappa obviously bounced back on the controversy caused by her front page of Playboy magazine.“Mitterrand, Jacques Attali, Thierry Breton or Carla Bruni have already answered interviews in Playboy and it hasn’t caused such a scandal […]”regretted the main interested party who assumes her choice.

If Elisabeth Borne told him of her dissatisfaction, the two women were able to explain themselves without clashes: “I am attached to her, she is the head of government, she is the leader of the majority by definition, I agree with her. Including when she reframes […] she actually phoned me to tell me that she considered that in the period of social tensions that the country is going through it was not appropriate to do the cover of Playboy […]”.

But very quickly, the tenant of Matignon wanted to move on. Ambitious, Marlène Schiappa intends to shine for a long time in politics. Resignation is not in his plans. Another rumor that she wanted to extinguish: her virulent message addressed to Isabelle Lonvis-Rome who did not appreciate her interview with Playboy.

“It’s absolutely false […]”, indicated the ex-companion of Cédric Bruguière. “It’s made up […]. I’m not going to call ‘handbag someone’. […]. On the other hand what is true is that we had a discussion, me, I am Corsican […] I like it when we talk eye to eye […]”. End of the controversy?
