March Madness | Montreal’s Nathan Cayo and the Spiders eliminated in the second round

(Buffalo) Montreal’s Nathan Cayo led the Spiders with 18 points, but the University of Richmond was beaten 79-51 by Providence College in the second round of March Madness on Saturday.

Richmond was participating in March Madness for the first time since 2011.

The Spiders were the 12and seeded in the Midwest portion of the table. They upset the University of Iowa in the first round.

The fourth seeded Friars reached the “Sweet Sixteen” for the first time in 25 years.

Next week, they will face the University of Kansas, favorite in the Midwest, in Chicago.

Sunday night, Montreal’s Bennedict Mathurin and the University of Arizona Wildcats will face Texas Christian University.
