Marc Lavoine’s Subtle Declaration of Love to Adriana Karembeu

Marc Lavoine has made a comeback with his latest album, *Revolver*, featuring a mix of his classic hits and lesser-known tracks, alongside a new song titled *Pourrais-je dire encore je t’aime ?*, reflecting his recent romantic relationship with Adriana Karembeu. They were spotted together publicly, expressing affection at a private event. In interviews, both share insights about their relationship, with Lavoine drawing an unexpected comparison between love and smoking. Additionally, he is preparing to release a novel, *Quand arrivent les chevaux*, set for January 15, 2025, along with a planned tour.

Marc Lavoine is making a comeback in music. Last month, he released a new album titled Revolver. This compilation features some of his greatest hits alongside lesser-known tracks, including J’ai tout oublié, Dis-moi que l’amour, Le parking des anges, and Qu’est-ce que t’es belle, a duet with Catherine Ringer. For this project, the artist returned to the studio with a symphonic orchestra to create entirely new renditions that diverge significantly from the original versions that established his popularity. Additionally, he recorded a brand-new song that resonates deeply in the present moment: Pourrais-je dire encore je t’aime ?. This release comes as Marc Lavoine has just confirmed a new romantic relationship.

Following weeks of speculation, the former husband of novelist Line Papin made a public appearance with Adriana Karembeu in Paris last September. The couple displayed affection for one another, even sharing a kiss on the red carpet during a private event at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées while attending the Concerto pour la paix. Since then, both stars have been openly discussing their blossoming romance with enthusiasm.

Love compared to… a cigarette

This week, the model and TV host gave an interview to the magazine Nouvelle ère, which is included with the Nice Matin daily. In the October 31 edition, Adriana Karembeu answered questions from Thierry Ardisson about whether the singer of Tu m’as renversé was less handsome in real life than on TV. ‘What? He’s even better in person. And on top of that, he has a brain! I won’t say more. I’ve always shared everything about my personal life, but there’s a time for that’, she replied, chuckling and emphasizing her desire to maintain some level of privacy. Meanwhile, Marc Lavoine has also publicly expressed his affection for her in an interview with Journal du Dimanche.

In an interview published on Sunday, November 3, the 62-year-old singer made an unexpected comparison between his new relationship and… smoking. ‘Love has returned. Let’s say it’s like a cigarette: you quit and then you start again’, he reflected, recalling his past romances with model Denise Pascale in the 1980s, with whom he had a son named Simon, and Sarah Poniatowski. From his second marriage, which ended in 2018, he has three children, the youngest being Milo, who is now a teenager. Marc Lavoine artfully intertwines his personal life with his professional career, stating, ‘She came when I was resigned to living alone’, referring to his love for music, leaving little doubt about his deeper intentions.

Marc Lavoine returns to bookstores in 2025

During this interview, Marc Lavoine also paid tribute to another significant woman in his life: his mother. ‘All of them were born from my mother. I was born from my mother. She was the center of my world’, he explained when talking about his songs. He plans to honor her not just with an album but with a book. The author of Toi et moi, on s’appelle par nos prénoms (2011) and L’Homme qui ment (2015) is currently preparing to release a new novel entitled Quand arrivent les chevaux. This release is scheduled for January 15, 2025.

Following that, Marc Lavoine will embark on a new concert tour, with stops including Rennes on June 13 and Nantes on June 15, as well as a performance at the Seine Musicale in Boulogne-Billancourt (Paris). It wouldn’t be surprising to see a certain Adriana Karembeu in attendance…
