It wasn’t just about music with Marc Lavoine in We redo the TV this Saturday, October 15 on RTL. The singer was questioned about Paris but especially about the mayor, Anne Hidalgo, in office since 2014. Very often criticized, especially in Do not touch My TVthe politician was however defended by the ex-juror of The Voice.
“She was insulted by Mrs. Hidalgo. We may not agree with her, this is not a reason to insult people (…)I find that this woman, she did nothing wrong. As it is insulted, I find it quite violent“, did he declare. “Me, I say that in what she did in Paris, there are good things”. In his eyes, the fight of the successor of Bertrand Delanoë who wants to drastically reduce the circulation of cars in the center of the capital in particular is necessary. “A 6-month-old child who takes exhaust pipes up his nose (…), seeing cigarette butts in the Tuileries garden, I don’t like it at all. I think there is a need for an urban ecology today”he continued. “It also doesn’t have to become a city of offices, it doesn’t have to become mothballs, but there is something to be found.”
Taking the example of Edith Cresson or Simone Veil, the star banged her fist on the table. “We have to stop the bullshit, we don’t have to insult women because they are women who take power”. He ended by saying: “I don’t want to say: ‘Madame Hidalgo brilliant’, I only say: ‘Let’s be nice to people, we don’t have to insult each other’.”
The message got through!
Marc Lavoine will soon be appearing in a new series on TF1, I3P, alongside Barbara schultz, Claire Tran, Mikaël Chirinian and Walid Ben Mabrouk. Without forgetting his concert on Friday December 2 at the Palais des Congrès in Paris.
