FC Metz did not wait for the opening of the winter transfer window, at midnight on the night of December 31 to January 1, to announce a signing.
The Ligue 1 club extends by two seasons Marc-Aurèle Caillard’s contract. The goalkeeper is now engaged until 2024.
Substitute become holder
Caillard, trained in Monaco and passed by Clermont Foot and Guingamp, had been a replacement since his arrival in Moselle in the summer of 2020. He became the holder at the end of 2021, replacing Alexandre Oukidja, disappointing this season in goals in Metz.
He played in the matches against Lorient, Lyon and Bergerac in the Coupe de France.
