The actor Marc-André Grondin will play the role of the spy IXE-13 in a series inspired by the novels of Pierre Saurel which were already adapted to the cinema by Jacques Godbout 50 years ago. Filming has just started, announced Thursday Club Illico and Sphère Média.

The series will immerse viewers “in a labyrinthine operation, full of lies, manipulation, betrayal and secrets”, details the press release issued by the broadcaster and the producer.
The action will take place shortly after the end of the Second World War. IXE-13, code name of agent Jean Thibault (Marc-André Grondin) will resume service to face a double threat: that of the Russians who are looking for uranium to create a bomb and that of a Nazi group seeking the same to conquer the world.
In addition to Marc-André Grondin, the series directed by Yan Lanouette Turgeon (Aller simple, Épidémie) will star Julie LeBreton, Vincent Leclerc and Hugolin Chevrette.
The date of the broadcast of this new incarnation of the adventures of agent IXE-13 has not been specified by Club Illico, but it will be presented in 2023.
