Maple Leafs sign new contracts with Max Domi and Timothy Liljegren

(Toronto) The Toronto Maple Leafs signed forward Max Domi to a four-year contract on Sunday.


The average annual value of the agreement is 3.75 million US dollars.

Aged 29, Domi has 47 points, including nine goals, in 80 regular season games with the Maple Leafs in 2023-24. He added four points (one goal, three assists) in seven playoff games.

In 661 NHL games, Domi scored 417 points, including 130 goals. Added to that are seven goals and 19 assists in 50 playoff games.

During his nine years in the NHL, Domi also played for the Arizona Coyotes, Montreal Canadiens, Columbus Blue Jackets, Carolina Hurricanes, Chicago Blackhawks and Dallas Stars.

The Maple Leafs also signed defenseman Timothy Liljegren to a two-year contract.

The average annual value of the agreement is US$3 million.

Maple Leafs first round pick – 17e in total – in 2017, the 25-year-old defender collected 23 points in 55 games with the Toronto team in 2023-24.
