Kaiden Guhle and Arber Xhekaj will miss Saturday night’s duel between the Canadian and the Toronto Maple Leafs.
To replace them, Johnathan Kovacevic will be reinstated in the lineup, while Justin Barron was recalled from the Laval Rocket.
Both suffered upper body injuries. According to the CH, Guhle is the subject of a “daily evaluation”, while Xhekaj will be the subject of a “future update following a more in-depth evaluation”.
Guhle left Thursday’s game against the Lightning after being checked by Nikita Kucherov in the first period. His head had hit the bay window.
As for Xhekaj, he was involved in a skirmish in the third period with Michael Eyssimont, but he still made an appearance after the scrum. It is not known if he was injured during this struggle.
