While political life has been turned upside down since the victory of the National Rally in the European elections and the announcement of the dissolution of the National Assembly, many French people are worried. Invited on the 20 Heures set on Saturday June 15, Prime Minister Gabriel Attal spoke on the subject.
For six days, the French have been observing political life and many have been worried since the announcement of the dissolution of the National Assembly by Emmanuel Macron. For Prime Minister Gabriel Attal, “the president made this decision and explained it to a Parliament increasingly asphyxiated by the weight of the extremes.”
While certain elected Republicans are allying themselves with the National Rally, and the left-wing parties are uniting under the banner of the New Popular Front, Gabriel Attal claims to have “met French people who refuse division, (…) who do not want a project of economic ruin as proposed by the extremes.” Refusing to answer whether he would vote between the National Rally and the New Popular Front, Gabriel Attal says he wants “defend the values of the Republic” and “many French people refuse what is presented by the extremes. (…) If the extreme project were to triumph, around a million jobs would be destroyed.”
