Saturday February 10 marks the entry into the lunar new year in China, placed under the sign of the dragon. For the occasion, families come together. Nearly 500 million train tickets have been sold.
Airports, ports, toll booths: all are full to bursting. In a train station in Shanghai (China), travelers return to their families for the Lunar New Year. Some had been deprived of it in previous years, due to Covid. A father takes his children to see their grandparents in Shandong. “There is snow there, I want to go there quickly to see it, before it melts”confides the young boy.
Year of the Dragon
Nearly 500 million train tickets have been sold. At this station, departures take place every two minutes. Once on board, the vacation begins. “The atmosphere on the train is very cheerful. Everyone has finally finished this busy year. We can go home and spend a few quiet and happy days”, confides a traveler. The Chinese enter the year of the dragon on Saturday February 10.
