France is passing a new stage in its fight against the Covid-19 epidemic. On Wednesday December 22, some children aged between 5 and 11 will be vaccinated against Covid-19. This is particularly the case of Tessa who, after discussing it with her parents, decided to be vaccinated against the virus. According to her, a way to protect her loved ones, but also “so that healthcare workers no longer have to undergo all this in hospitals, and that we can get out of the pandemic”.

First, a rapid serological test is carried out to verify that the child has not already contracted Covid-19. If so, only one dose is given. A vaccine has been specially developed for children by Pfizer. The available studies are rather reassuring: only 14 cases of myocarditis have been reported, out of the seven million children vaccinated in the United States.
