A fun virtual headset in the car is not yet for the driver, but only for the passengers. Audi and even BMW want to allow you to immerse yourself in a completely imaginary world, which would perfectly follow the journey of the vehicle.

On a mountain road, simulating an amusement park or roller coaster can increase the sensations and make the experience of a simple journey more fun. Automotive manufacturers are seeking to make virtual reality the future of automotive entertainment, after radio and music.
Tomorrow, in a taxi, instead of watching the scenery go by or immersing yourself in your phone, putting on a virtual reality headset could make the journeys less boring. Everything that is displayed will be adapted to the movements of the car, whether it is tourist guides, short films or games.
The concept is starting to exist, but there is still very little content. The start-up Holoride offers a few games that take into account the moments when the car accelerates, turns or brakes. Audi teamed up with Disney to create a mini Marvel movie that adapts to the car’s movements. Meta and BMW develop interactive applications for passengers. Maybe tomorrow the virtual reality headset will be offered as an option like leather seats or the sunroof.
