Manuel Valls was eliminated in the first round of legislative elections, Sunday 5 June. Story of a new failure.
Manuel Valls was eliminated in the first round of the legislative elections in his constituency of French people living abroad. The candidate for the presidential majority, supported by Emmanuel Macron, finished behind NUPES and Stéphane Vojetta, outgoing deputy and dissident candidate. For five years, Manuel Valls has had political setbacks. In 2017, he ran for the socialist primary, but lost in the second round to Benoit Hamon. MP for Evry (Essonne), he then joined LREM, then resigned from his mandate to launch an assault on the town hall of Barcelona (Spain).
In 2019, he experienced a bitter failure without his hometown of Barcelona (Spain). Manuel Valls was however promised a great future. He rose through the ranks thanks to great mentors, Michel Rocard and Lionel Jospin. Deputy Mayor of Évry for 11 years, he was then appointed Minister of the Interior under François Hollande. In 2014, he became Prime Minister and appointed Emmanuel Macron to the Ministry of the Economy. On the evening of Sunday June 5, Manuel Valls closed his Twitter account, after receiving torrents of insults.
