“I am not giving up on this process of bringing people together. I hope that we continue to bring together all those who want to come together around the Nupes program”declared Sunday October 29 Manuel Bompard, while the Nupes fractured after the rebellious positions taken around the conflict between Israel and Hamas.

“I was one of those who wanted Nupes. We considered that our responsibility was to try to bring everyone together, we made efforts to do that”recalls the deputy for Bouches-du Rhône and national coordinator of France insoumise, guest of “Political questions”on France Inter and franceinfo channel 27, in partnership with The world.

“I wanted Nupes to also be a form of political coalition that lives in society, that it presents joint candidacies. Each time, our Nupes partners told us ‘not that’. I take note of this the situation.”

La France insoumise sent a letter to the Socialist Party to ask for “details” on the moratorium voted by the PS last week to suspend its participation in Nupes. “If political, socialist, communist or environmentalist organizations distance themselves and no longer want the common program that we have defended, that’s a shame”judged the LFI deputy, who does not seem worried about a possible alternative union against the Insoumis. “I don’t really see what form of alternative union to the Nupes could take shape before our eyes.”
