After three seasons on Disney+, the adventures of Din Djarin and Grogu, better known as The Mandalorian and Baby Yoda, respectively, will continue in the cinema.
As announced on the Star Wars website Tuesday noon, Jon Favreau, creator of the series and director of the first two Iron Man And The Elfamong others, will shoot the film, which will begin production later this year.
Canadian-Pakistani director Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, whose documentaries have won awards, and screenwriter Steven Knight (Spencerseries Peaky Blinders) are also working on the film New Jedi Order which will continue the journey of Rey (Daisy Ridley) following the events of The Rise of Skywalker.
Feature films from James Mangold and Dave Filoni are also planned. The latter is also working on the second season ofAhsoka.
