It was only a matter of hours. After the humiliating defeat a few weeks ago against rival Liverpool (5-0) in the Premier League, then that against Manchester City (0-2), the new disappointment on Saturday against Watford (1-4) ended up putting Ole Gunnar Solskjaer ashore. Manchester United decided, Sunday, November 21, to separate from his coach, in office for three years.
Since his arrival as coach in 2018, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has not won anything with Manchester United, despite a Europa League final and a second place in the league in 2021. Zinedine Zidane and Brendan Rogers are mentioned to take over on a bench still looking for a successor to Sir Alex Ferguson. Left in 2013, the legendary Scottish technician is the last coach to have allowed the Mancunians to glean a trophy.
Manchester United can confirm that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has left his role as Manager.
Thank you for everything, Ole ❤️#MUFC
