SNCF management is offering a bonus of 95 euros gross per day for railway workers who will work over the period July 24 – August 11 and over the period August 28 – September 8, franceinfo learned on Wednesday May 22 from a union source. Or up to 1,900 euros gross maximum over 20 days. The management of the SNCF confirms in a press release these measures that it is considering for the 50,000 railway workers “necessary for the successful implementation of the transport plan for the Olympic and Paralympic Games”.
A meeting was organized on Wednesday by the management of the SNCF with all the railway unions on the bonuses allocated to agents who will be mobilized during the Olympic and Paralympic Games. This round table comes the day after a day of transport strike.
Management initially offered a bonus of 50 euros gross per day to employees during the Olympics and 200 to 500 euros more depending on the period. Insufficient sums according to the unions.
The latter now have until June 4 to sign the project, again from a union source. It concerns all agents who contribute to the production of transport during the periods of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, both drivers and maintenance agents. This represents around 40 to 50,000 people, who will at least partially benefit from the bonuses. The overall cost of these measures will have no impact on taxpayers or on the price of tickets for traveling customers, assures SNCF.
