(London) The Ontarian accused of throwing gravel at Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau during a heated campaign stop in London in September 2021 has pleaded guilty to the reduced charge of common assault.
Shane Marshall, of St. Thomas, south of London, was charged with assault with a weapon. He eventually pleaded guilty on Tuesday to the reduced charge of common assault.

The People’s Party of Canada later announced that after viewing video footage of the London incident, a man with the same name as Mr. Marshall, who served as president of the local riding association, had been fired.
