The man suspected of assaulting Eric Zemmour during his meeting Sunday, December 5 in Villepinte (Seine-Saint-Denis) was indicted on the count of voluntary violence with ITT for more than eight days, indicates the Bobigny prosecutor’s office.

As the far-right presidential candidate crossed the hall in Villepinte to join the scene, the 27-year-old suspect rushed at him, causing a stampede. According to franceinfo information, the suspect indicated that it was an accident.

Eric Zemmour’s lawyer told Franceinfo that an AP-HP doctor prescribed him 9 days of ITT for a wrist strain and neck pain. The suspect is placed under judicial supervision with a ban on leaving the country, on holding or carrying a weapon, and on coming into contact with the victim.
