Man linked to murder of rapper Tupac Shakur arrested

A man linked to the man who murdered Tupac Shakur in 1996 was arrested Friday morning in Las Vegas. Duane “Keffe D” Davis himself admitted in a book to having been present during the murder of the New York rapper.

The charges against the man have not been released. Duane Davis published a memoir in 2019, Compton Street Legend, in which he admitted to having been in the Cadillac where the shots that killed Tupac came from.

He said he was one of the last witnesses to Tupac’s death and said he told police about the events in 2010, while he was in prison and facing a life sentence.

A few months ago, police searched Davis’ wife’s home for evidence relating to the rapper’s murder.

Tupac Shakur was shot and killed on the Las Vegas Strip in 1996, when he was just 25 years old. Despite his young age, the artist had already become a part of hip-hop legend, being considered one of the greatest rappers of all time. The investigation into his murder has never been resolved.
