An investigation into rape was opened by the Meaux public prosecutor’s office after a complaint from a minor, who claimed “having been the victim of rape”announced the public prosecutor of Meaux, Jean-Baptiste Bladier, in a press release on Friday June 28.. According to the Meaux public prosecutor’s office, this investigation follows the complaint filed “by a young girl born in Ukraine in 2009 who claims to have been, during the day of June 27, 2024, taken by force from her home by a man she met in the streets and to have been the victim of rape”. The suspect, “already convicted in particular for acts of sexual assault”, was subject to an obligation to leave French territory (OQTF). The Meaux public prosecutor’s office announced that it “will require his placement in pre-trial detention”.
