(Montreal) The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) announced on Tuesday the arrest of two young people in connection with the death of Luc Lafontaine, a 64-year-old man from La Prairie, in Montérégie.

The sexagenarian had been reported missing by relatives before being found dead at the end of the day on Monday.
A 19-year-old young man and an 18-year-old woman were arrested in Saint-Basile-le-Grand, also in Montérégie.
The two suspects will appear in court Tuesday afternoon, at the Longueuil courthouse, to face charges that have not yet been specified.
For the outcome of the case of the disappearance of Luc Lafontaine, the Sûreté du Québec took over from the Régie intermunicipale de police Roussillon.
