(Montreal) A man in his twenties was arrested Sunday morning in Quebec for “attempted murder in a marital context”.
The police were called at 4 a.m. in the Saint-Louis sector of the Sainte-Foy–Sillery–Cap-Rouge borough after a woman fell from a balcony on the third floor.
The victim, also in his twenties, was taken to hospital with serious injuries. “But we do not fear for his life,” said the Service de police de la Ville de Québec (SPVQ) in a press release.
“The investigation carried out by the police on the spot tends to show, from the first moments, that the fall of the victim would be of a criminal nature”, explains the SPVQ. The victim’s spouse has been arrested and is expected to appear shortly.
Police investigators and technicians from the forensic identification unit went to the scene to clarify the circumstances of the event.
