Man arrested after shooting near Donald Trump’s golf club, local police say

Donald Trump gave an update in a fundraising email: “I am safe and healthy! (…) I will NEVER surrender! I will always love you for your support.” Donald Trump’s presidential rival, Kamala Harris, said in a tweet that “Violence has no place in America.”

The incident comes two months after the assassination attempt on the septuagenarian, who is campaigning to regain the White House in November’s election. On July 13, he was injured in the ear by gunfire that killed one person and injured two others at a rally in Pennsylvania.
