Yoghurts from the Malo brand were recalled for suspected contamination with the bacterium Escherichia coli (E.Coli), reports France Bleu Armorique, Monday June 13. These yogurts distributed throughout France are made by the Saint-Malo dairy (Ille-et-Vilaine).
According to the government site Rappel Conso, several product ranges are concerned: plain yogurts, sweet yogurts, grenadine-flavored or raspberry-flavoured yogurts. All have been on the market since June 9 with a use-by date set for July 11. The consumers concerned are invited to destroy the products purchased and to have them reimbursed in the shops, supermarkets or supermarkets, where they were purchased.
The E.Coli bacteria can cause gastroenteritis marked by abdominal pain and diarrhea (possibly accompanied by blood), with or without fever, within three days of consumption. In case of symptoms, you should consult your doctor.
