Daniel Malgouyres is tried, Monday, November 29, for having shot down a burglar in his domain in October 2017. He is suspected of having staged it to scare his wife.
It is an incredible case which is judged, Monday, November 29. Daniel Malgouyres is at the Montpellier meeting (Herault), for killing a burglar who broke into his domain. However, he is believed to have orchestrated the scene himself, to scare his wife with whom he was divorcing. In October 2017, dthem hooded men break into Daniel’s domain Malgouyres, in order to get hold of more than 400,000 euros in revenue hidden in a safe. His wife is assaulted, while at the same time upstairs, the accused shoots a man dead.
If the scene appears to be an act of self-defense, as he has pleaded from the start, contradictions arose during his testimony, in which he concealed essential information. “The link that could unite him with the two burglars, and then the context with which these facts could have been prepared“, noted Yvon Calvet, public prosecutor of Béziers, in 2017. A friend of the couple says for his part that he wanted to recover the money to settle down with his mistress. In addition, he allegedly had lunch with the two criminals a few hours before the incident.
