A residential building still under construction was engulfed in flames in the heart of Montreal, on the night of Saturday to Sunday.

The impressive fire, which occurred at the corner of Saint-Dominique and Napoléon streets, in the Plateau-Mont-Royal borough, started around midnight and required the intervention of about fifty vehicles and 110 firefighters.
Still under construction, the building did not have to be evacuated, but several adjacent buildings were. All the families were able to return to their homes on Sunday, while no injuries or transport to hospital were necessary.
The cause of the fire remains to be identified, but the significant damage suffered by the building could make the task difficult for the investigators.
