A vast anti-drug operation was underway Wednesday morning in the greater metropolitan area in relation to drug trafficking.
Several arrests were planned during the day.
This police operation is the result of an investigation initiated in May 2022.
The strike was underway in the municipality of Cèdres, in Montérégie, as well as in greater Montreal.
Police are targeting suspected drug traffickers, including methamphetamine.
The operation is being carried out by police officers from the North Shore Regional Mixed Squad (ERM), in collaboration with the Sûreté du Québec.
The authorities are expected to provide a full assessment of the intervention over the coming days.
