The Lady of the Views film club of the Réalisatrices equitables organization presents, Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at the Maison de la culture du Plateau-Mont-Royal, the feature film A colony scored by Geneviève Dulude-De Celles.
The filmmaker will be present for the occasion.
Starring Émilie Bierre, this film tells the story of Mylia, a shy 12-year-old child who is about to enter high school where she knows no one. With the help of a few friends, including Jimmy, a young indigenous marginal, she will advance on the path of life.
It should be remembered that the film won three awards, including that of best feature film, at the Canadian Screen Awards gala in 2019. Émilie Bierre also won the awards for best actress in a leading role at this gala and at that of Québec cinema held few weeks later.
