The singer-songwriter wanted to bring her latest album to life incarnate in full from the first to the last piece.

A daring bet for the one who could have drawn everywhere in her repertoire with more famous titles and her successes.

From the first notes of Beautywith an Ariane Moffatt behind the piano, we felt it was going to be a great evening of music.

The sounds of strings, vibraphone and brass resonate. The sound quality is exceptional.

At the end of the piece, the singer-songwriter, behind the piano, stands up, with a broad smile on her face. The bet was already successful.

After Gapwhere we hear the sound of the harp, Ariane Moffatt admits that she has been waiting for this evening for a long time, initially scheduled for 2021.

“I was very excited. Perhaps because the little girl from Saint-Romuald saw her first show here, her first Nutcracker with my mom, Marie, who is present,” she said.

A beautiful “trip”

At the end ofHopeshe admits that she can’t take it anymore and that she is going through a nasty beautiful “trip”.

Parts ofincarnate unfold in calm and gentleness. It’s sensitive, introspective and stripped down.

Just before intermission, she invites Martha Wainwright to do a very nice version of the duet. Never too late. The voices blend perfectly.

Wainwright had a little time alone with the OSQ for the interpretation of cliff of unease before Ariane Moffatt joins her for Far Away.

The success of these alloys between pop and symphonic music is there when the orchestra has room. And he had some with Antoine Gratton’s arrangements.

The OSQ, under the direction of guest conductor David Martin, even performed, alone, the instrumental piece Reminiscence.

The evening, presented in front of several free seats, ended to the sound of the “discostra” sounds of Dream, Standing and Miamifrom the album 10:22 p.m.with the presence of guest percussionist Salin Cheewapansri.

A very great evening of music and beauty offered again tonight.
