Magic 108 – Raptors 121 | OG Anunoby earns 32 points to help Raptors win

(Toronto) OG Anunoby tied a career-high 32 points this season and the Toronto Raptors rebounded from two embarrassing losses by mocking the Orlando Magic 121-108 on Saturday.

Pascal Siakam contributed 26 points and 10 assists for the Raptors (12-11), who inflicted an eighth straight loss on the Magic — the NBA’s worst team, with a 5-19 record.

Scottie Barnes added 17 points and 14 rebounds, while Fred VanVleet had 13 points and seven assists.

Former Raptors Terrence Ross and Bol Bol provided 18 points apiece for the Magic.

Bol was the only Magic starting five to reach double digits. Paolo Banchero, who entered the game as the leading rookie scorer, hit just two of his eight shots and finished the night with nine points.

“It’s a long season, there are a lot of games, recalled Banchero. You are going to have evenings like this. You just have to move on to the next one. »

The Raptors were back at home after a disastrous two-game road trip. They had lost 126-108 to the New Orleans Pelicans and then 114-105 to the Brooklyn Nets after falling 36 points in the game.

“We just wanted to come together, be better,” Barnes said. It was a bad atmosphere in the locker room (Friday). »

The Raptors made five dunks in the first quarter and scored 26 from the bottle to lead 36-22 at the end of it.

“They came out as a determined team,” Magic head coach Jamahl Mosley said. Anunoby set the tone from the start. »

They had a better night on Saturday. The Raptors scored on eight of their first 10 shots to take control of the game. They were never really worried afterwards.
