Magali Ripoll soon to be replaced in “Don’t forget the lyrics”? “I would like to retire…”

“Don’t Forget the Lyrics” is about to blow a nice birthday cake. Indeed, for its 15th anniversary, the famous game presented by Nagui has planned a few surprises. The show will offer an anniversary number which will notably offer a duel between Fabien Haimocivi and Magali Ripoll, the show’s two choristers. “I was happy but it’s true that we were very surprised. On the roadmap we had, it was very mysterious. There were things that weren’t very coherent, no one understood anything. It was the surprise for everyone, even the musicians didn’t know it. If I had known in advance, I might have revised a little“, entrusted the singer to our colleagues from Télé Loisirs.

His colleague, famous for his antics during each number, also told this rather unexpected and visibly stressful moment. “We were forced to go with our talent, if we have any, because Nagui obviously decided to present us with a fait accompli. It was scripted in an incredible way, I still can’t believe it. It’s crazy that after 15 years, he still manages to surprise me like that“, she explained. Before continuing: “When Margaux and Caroline (the two best candidates on the show, editor’s note) arrive, I obviously thought it was going to be them. When it was announced, we looked at each other with Fabien and we couldn’t believe it. We had a downtime. I was really stressed, I was not showing off because I always said that I didn’t know the lyrics very well.”

And as for her future in the biggest karaoke of the PAF, Magali Ripoll was a little hesitant. “I don’t know because I would like to retire very young!”, she indicated. Before adding: As long as the show is on the air and viewers want me, it will be a pleasure. As long as it doesn’t prevent me from carrying out my projects on the side.”
