Madonna will be in Montreal next summer. The popular singer will take the Bell Center stage on August 19 as part of her tour Celebrationwhich highlights its successes over the past 40 years.
She made the announcement in a video posted on her Instagram account on Tuesday morning. In this one, Madonna is at the table surrounded by friends, including Jack Black, Lil Wayne, Kate Berlant and comedian Amy Schumer. They’re part of “truth or consequence” — a nod to the 1990 documentary Madonna: Truth or Dare — when Amy Schumer challenges the singer to travel the world to perform her greatest hits. Madonna sings the chorus of her success for a few seconds Isla Bonita before finally accepting the challenge with enthusiasm.
Madonna will begin her tour in Canada, in Vancouver to be precise, on July 15. She will also be in Toronto on August 13 before heading to Europe this fall. Altogether she will perform in 35 cities around the world, and will offer her last show in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, on 1er December.
“I’m excited to explore as many songs as possible, hoping to give my fans the gig they’ve been waiting for,” the singer said in a statement.
Madonna’s last string of shows was in 2019 with the tour Mrs X.
