The news are good. American pop megastar Madonna, 64, reassured her fans on Monday by saying to herself “on the road to recovery” after contracting a severe bacterial infection that landed her in hospital and postponed her world tour.

His canceled concerts rescheduled

The singer returned for the first time to her hospitalization in intensive care, for several days in June, in a post shared on her social networks. “When I woke up in the hospital, my first thought was for my children”she wrote. “My second thought was that I didn’t want to disappoint anyone who bought tickets for my tour.”

This bacterial infection forced the singer to postpone her “The Celebration Tour”, which was originally scheduled to take place from July to December in North America and Europe, including dates in Paris and London. Madonna’s first concert, to celebrate 40 years of unparalleled career and influence, was to be held on July 15 in Vancouver, western Canada.

Madonna said her goal was to complete her European tour on October 14 in London on the originally scheduled dates, and to reschedule the canceled concerts in North America. The singer must perform in all the major cities of North America (Los Angeles, New York, Houston, Chicago, Toronto, Montreal…). “I am now focusing on my health and getting stronger, and I assure you, I will be back with you as soon as I can”promised the star on Monday.

His manager Guy Oseary had revealed the infection at the end of June “severe” contracted by the singer and her hospitalization in intensive care, while indicating that her health was on the way “improvement” towards a “full recovery”. In 2020, the singer was injured during her “Madame X” tour and had to undergo hip replacement surgery.
