Madonna says it’s “a miracle” that she’s still alive. She made this admission during a concert on her tour Celebration in Antwerp, Belgium.
Less than six months after being hospitalized and nearly dying from an apparently aggressive bacteria, the nature of which has not been publicly disclosed, Madonna is back on stage. What she considers a “second chance”.
“It’s a miracle that I’m here right now. My mother, God bless her, has to watch over me. She told me: my daughter, it’s not your time,” reports the magazine Peoplerelying on images captured during a concert held last weekend in Antwerp, Belgium, and published on the internet.
Madonna’s mother, Madonna Louise Fortin, died in 1963 from breast cancer. The queen of pop said she had been thinking about her mother recently. “I suddenly had sympathy and empathy for my mother. Not for her death, but for the loneliness she probably felt while lying in bed in the hospital, knowing she wasn’t going to survive. And I had a second chance, she said. So I’m very grateful for that. »
Madonna is currently touring Europe and will give her first North American concerts in Brooklyn on December 13, 14 and 16. She will be at the Bell Center in Montreal on January 18 and 20, 2024.
