To this day, the pandemic continues to impact our daily lives. In France, public opinion is divided on vaccination. For the most reluctant, the various vaccines offered by laboratories cause countless side effects. Others regret the lack of perspective on the necessary doses. This Friday, January 21, 2022, Cyril Hanouna again raised the subject on the set of Do not touch My TV.
For the occasion, he welcomed Marc Doyer who spoke about the trying daily life of his 72-year-old wife Mauricette. His health deteriorated after receiving his dose of vaccine last May. “You know, we are of a vaccine generation so we were, like everyone else, a little bit conditioned. We started to be scared and when we got the news of a vaccine, we found That was good news! We went there with confidence!” explained Marc Doyer. If his wife was perfectly well from the first dose, fifteen days after her second dose, she began to feel bad. “She started having tingling on her left leg, some dizziness, and then there was an escalation of symptoms. Pretty quickly, we went to see a doctor, he specified.
Worried about his condition, Marc Doyer quickly made an appointment with a doctor for his wife. “We did the MRI and there, the diagnosis fell quickly, we were told, slight trace of an old stroke. While she had had no discomfort, no twisted mouth as one can find in a traditional stroke … And then behind it was chained. She started having tremors on her left leg, her left arm… There, we asked ourselves questions and we saw a first neurologist”. he added.
For the specialist, it was above all an inflammatory problem. “I said to her, ‘Listen, she was vaccinated a fortnight ago, don’t you think there might be a connection?’ And she asked me questions, what vaccine, so I said Pfizer, when… And there she wrote a letter and said: ‘We have to do another MRI with an injection, because I need to see more precisely what happened”, added Marc Doyer. The verdict will eventually fall: Mauricette suffers from Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease. “I will remember it all my life because inevitably, Mauricette was there – at that time, she was still talking and walking – and she clearly sees that there is something going on and says to me: ‘What? is there? Are you hiding something from me?’ And I admit that I couldn’t help but crack up because you can’t even fight mad cow disease! (…) I have my wife in front of me and deep inside me -even, I know that she is going to die (…).”, thus concluded Marc Doyer not without emotion.
