(Virginia Water) Canadian Mackenzie Hughes jumped 31 spots in the world rankings to now sit at 51e place after winning the Sanderson Farms Championship.

The Hamilton, Ont., golfer beat Sepp Straka on the second hole of overtime on Sunday to earn his second PGA Tour win.
Hughes, 31, won the Sea Island tournament in 2016. He already cracked the top-50 once, last November, moving up to 39e world rank.
Ontarian Corey Conners is the highest-ranked Canadian in 28e square. Adam Hadwin (86)e) and Taylor Pendrith (99e) are also part of the top-100.
Ontario’s Brooke Henderson is sixth in the women’s standings. She is the only Canadian in the top-100.
