Macha Méril: Moment of complicity with her son on the occasion of a big event

A rare appearance with her son who is not hers genetically speaking since she became sterile at only 16 years old following an abortion in 1956.

At the time, she was dating a wealthy forty-year-old who was used to social gatherings. She soon became pregnant with him when she was just a teenager. She was sent to Switzerland by her companion to have an abortion since this practice was prohibited in France. In an interview given to Paris Match and published in 2014, the actress attributed her sterility to this clandestine operation.

“Like a break in my life”

A difficult period of her life that she kindly mentioned during her time on the show The sofapresented by Marc-Olivier Fogiel, in 2018. “There was really like a break in my life which was the day I knew I would never have children, she confided. But that didn’t stop her from becoming a mother. She decided to adopt Gianguido, the son of her ex-husband Gian Vittorio Baldi, born from one of the Italian film producer’s previous relationships.

She also became the stepmother of four children, from her previous unions.
