Lynx Air will be based in Calgary and will operate exclusively new Boeing 737 MAX aircraft. The carrier is expected to take delivery of the first three devices in early 2022.

However, Lynx Air has yet to reveal the destinations it intends to serve. We therefore do not know if Montreal, Quebec or Ottawa will be on the list for the moment.

Lynx Air was previously known as Enerjet. Before the pandemic, the carrier specialized, among other things, in charter flights for the transport of workers, in particular for the gas and oil industry. The management has experience in air transport.

Lynx Air COO, Tim Morgan, was CEO of Enerjet and a co-founder of WestJet. For her part, the new President and CEO of Lynx Air, Merren MacArthur, has served as CEO of low-cost carrier Tigerair Australia.
