After The Three Musketeers: D’artagnan, François Civil and Lyna Khoudri are both starring in the new film “A Zone to Defend”, directed by Romain Cogitore. On this occasion, they indulge in the love scenes shot for the needs of the film.

What we dread is the relationship to our own modesty and it is also to know that, in one way or another, we are going to enter into the intimacy of our partner”. For the needs of the latest film “A Zone to Defend” recently released, François Civil and Lyna Khoudri evoke the love scenes between the two characters.

“It’s all choreographed”

For these love scenes, the team that frames the film is reduced, so that the actors can disregard their presence as much as possible. François Civil, on the contrary, does not appreciate this discretion which makes the moment too “ceremonial“: “Strangely, for me, it’s the scenes where I don’t ignore the team. In fact, me, it annoys me, the somewhat sacred, ceremonial side of the thing, where the team is reduced. You have to de-dramatize completely. In general, I try to forget the team, to try to be as true as possible in what I feel and to be crossed by real emotions. As much, these scenes, I approach them in an archi-technical way, saying to myself: ‘here, I’m really pretending‘”, confides François Civil.

Lyna Khoudri explains that these scenes are choreographed and thought out by several people before they are performed. Of a reserved nature, the actress indicates that she needs to put herself in her “bubble” and concentrate on all the technical aspects. “I have the impression that our collaboration is only evolving. And there, we push again, we push the cursors and it’s too good, because we go into very deep places of play and that means that it gives us access to other new conversations”adds Lyna Khoudri.
