This Saturday, September 3, the Artemis mission was to be launched once and for all, after a first setback at the start of the week. A leak from the tank however got the better of this launch, which has been postponed to an unknown date, indicates Loïc de La Mornais from Cape Canaveral (Florida).
There was only 2h28 left on NASA’s countdown when it froze on Saturday, September 3. As the Artemis mission was to materialize with the launch of a rocket to the Moon, a new problem aborted the mission. A leak in a pipe supposed to carry fuel to the tank of the machine forced NASA to revise its plans.
After an aborted first launch earlier this week, this is the second time that NASA’s new lunar mission, Artemis, which is supposed to last 42 days, has been delayed. Present at Cape Canaveral (Florida), Loïc de La Mornais explains that NASA has two options. The first being a launch on Monday September 5th or Tuesday September 6th. The second option, the preferred one, provides for a return of the rocket to the assembly building to be reviewed before a launch in mid-October.
