Lula and Jair Bolsonaro clash

On the occasion of the presidential election in Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro, incumbent president of the extreme right, is opposed to Lula, candidate of the working left and former president. In this duel, everything is allowed, even insults. For four years, the ultra-conservative president has been sharing his racist, homophobic, sexist remarks. “We are a country that does not want to discuss the legalization of abortion”assures Jair Bolsonaro, President of Brazil and presidential candidate which will take place on Sunday, October 2.

For his part, Lula says he wants to defend the poorest, while 33 million Brazilians suffer from hunger. “This government has caused too much suffering: the return of hunger, unemployment and record inflation”, lists Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, former president of Brazil and presidential candidate. Jair Bolsonaro continues to attack Lula, who spent 18 months in prison for corruption, even though he has since been cleared. Lula criticizes the current president for his handling of the Covid-19 pandemic.
