No miracle for Saran’s handball players! The Septors faced the best players in the world this Monday, February 14, 2022. Saran hosted PSG in a late game for the 13th day of the Starligue in front of full stands at the Palais des Sports in Orléans.
Without surprise, the Parisians (including the Karabatic brothers and goalkeeper Vincent Gérard) won 34 to 27 but the Septors can hold their heads high.
“Getting the stars of PSG, it’s still cool!”
Defeat was inevitable against the colossi of PSG, coach Fabien Courtial had no illusions. Corn it’s a defeat with panachethe Septors get away with the honors, in the eyes of their supporters, filled by the match: “Getting the stars of PSG, it’s still cool!”
The Saranese center half Antoine Blanc is not particularly small, he measures 1m94 but indeed, he admits it, next to such stars, we feel very small : “They are the best players in the world so it’s nice to compete against them, we had fun on the pitch and we hope the fans too!”

Yeah, we’re a little more physical but that’s sport, that’s how it is!”
He and his Parisian colleagues agreed to be photographed and to exchange a few words with the supporters, especially the youngest, who left with stars in their eyes.
“It was the first who faced the penultimate”admits a young supporter, “It was still a great show!”
Friday, February 18, it’s a derby that awaits the Septors with the meeting against Chartres. The Saranais were beaten 22-24 on Saturday February 12 by Cesson-Rennes.
