The two finalists of the Coupe de France, Nice and Nantes face off in a sold-out Stade de France on Saturday (9:15 p.m.).

Two historic clubs in the midst of a revival will battle it out on Saturday May 7 (9 p.m.) in the final of the Coupe de France at the Stade de France: OGC Nice and FC Nantes. Two men will play a very special role in this final, captains Ludovic Blas and Dante.“Dante brings both his great experience, his wisdom, but above all his great determination to win matches”, confided Christophe Galtier in Tout le sport. On the eve of outcome of this edition, the Nantes midfielder and the Nice defender, accompanied by their respective coaches, returned to their role as captain and to this 2021-2022 edition.

Both clubs are hoping to end a nearly twenty-year long trophy drought. Nantes, which has not won anything since its title of champion in 2001, will play its first final since that of the Coupe de la Ligue in 2004, lost on penalties against Sochaux. Nice’s last trophy dates back to the 1997 Coupe de France, won against Guingamp.
