Anne Émond’s most recent film, Lucy Grizzly Sophiewill open the 42e edition of Rendez-vous Québec Cinéma next February, the festival announced.
Adaptation of the play The packwritten by Catherine-Anne Toupin, this psychological thriller will have its world premiere as part of the event on February 21.

The feature film tells the story of Sophie, a hunted and traumatized woman, who lands in a lodge hundreds of kilometers from home. There, she meets Louise and her nephew Martin, with whom a “disturbing complicity emerges”, indicates the synopsis.
Just like in the play presented in 2018, Catherine-Anne Toupin plays alongside Guillaume Cyr and Lise Roy.
Les Rendez-Vous Québec Cinéma will be held from February 21 to March 2, 2024. Lucy Grizzly Sophie will be on display throughout Quebec on February 23.
