Lucie Lucas reacts to the flop of “Cannes Police Criminelle”

This Monday, October 9, 2023, the launch of Cannes Criminal Police was a real audience fiasco for TF1. The first two episodes of the series (which included three in total) attracted only 13.7% of the public and 14.1% of housewives, with 2.6 million viewers on the clock. Above all, more than 920,000 viewers fled towards the competition between the first and second episodes. This is one of the worst launches from TF1, which hoped for much better with this international promise, this series being co-produced by 4 broadcasters (French, American, English and Swedish).

On social networks, throughout the evening, viewers condemned the failed dubbing of the characters, even though Lucie Lucas and Shy’m, heroines of the series, dubbed themselves. “I found it odd that the voices didn’t go with the mouth movements. As a stupid idea, it’s a good one!”protested a viewer, supported by another much more acerbic one: “It’s canned shit, and I’m weighing my words”. Criticisms that Lucie Lucas seems to have heard, and which she commented on her Instagram account, in offering his deepest apologies to viewers harmed by more than amateur dubbing…

“Thank you all for your feedback on Cannes Police Criminelle broadcast yesterday on TF1” enthused the heroine of Clembefore quickly recognizing the fiasco: “Sorry for those who tried to watch the series live last night without success… We don’t know what happened but we’re doing everything we can to make sure it’s available next Monday”explained Lucie Lucas, without commenting on the criticisms linked to the dubbing.

Soon back in a final episode of “Clem”

Fortunately for Lucie Lucas fans, the actress will soon be found without dubbing in her emblematic role of Clémentine Boissier, for the series finale Clem, which was filmed a few weeks ago. A special 90-minute unit called The Reunions will mark the returns of cult actors who have marked the history of this series, like Victoria Abril (Caro), Elodie Fontan (Alyzée) and Philippe Lellouche (Xavier). For now, the broadcast date of this final episode of Clem was not communicated by TF1, but it should take place during the first half of 2024.
