A farm and a restaurant
Twenty years ago, Lucie and Marc were very young. Their dream is to take over a farm. So they register on the Register of departures and installations, an agency that connects buyers with sellers. A kind of Meetic for farmers, what. This is how they come across the farm of their dreams, in Louvicamp, a hamlet of Mesnil-Mauger, about ten terminals from Neufchâtel-en-Bray. They will baptize her The cow of Louvicamp. Just because the cow is central to the story. From all their milk, they decide to make good products. Butter, cream, yogurts, milk jam, rice pudding, cakes… Even setting up their own restaurant, a creperie, Station tables, in Neufchâtel. You can find their products there. Necessarily.
They are growing gradually and they are hiring. Creating jobs is undoubtedly Lucie’s greatest source of pride. Today the business still supports a dozen employees. Martine, for example, the first arrival, a long time ago, whose mission is to make the farm’s cakes.
A small amusement park
Their idea, at Lucie and Marc, is to make it a place of exchange and meetings, of their farm. Here, we will produce, of course, but we have every intention of opening our doors to kids and their families. Gradually everything fits together. Schools are welcome, the large hall accommodates up to 70 children. The kids will now be able to go behind the scenes of a Norman farm. And then, families can come too, to spend an afternoon with the cows and learn the secrets of how farm products are made. Tasting, of course! A farm that is slowly taking the form of a small leisure park.
An escape game
That’s Lucie’s latest idea. She will use the waiting area, this large room where the cows present themselves, just before going to the milking parlour. This is where the visitors’ adventure will begin. Clues hidden right and left, puzzles to solve, and a story that ends with a good snack. The escape game was to see the light of day by the fall. Lucie would like to launch it for Halloween.
